ICANN's 45th International Meeting in Toronto, Canada 14 – 18 October 2012
Maguy Serad, Pam Little, Paul Redmond and Jacks Khawaja were joined by four "Newcomer" staff members, Victor Oppenheimer, Sumi Lee, Leticia Castillo and Atif Beg, at the ICANN's 45th International Meeting in Toronto, Canada 14 – 18 October 2012. The Contractual Compliance team made presentations on ICANN's Contractual Compliance Program at a Newcomers session as well as to the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC), the Registrar Stakeholder Group and the Intellectual Procperty Constituency (IPC) stakeholder Group. The Contractual Compliance team also met with members from the Law Enforcement Community.
In addition, two sessions were held on Wednesday 17 October 2012. The first session, Contractual Compliance – Performance Measurement and Application Update [PDF, 8.36 MB] showcased the tool used for performance measurement and business analysis, to share the improved and revised complaint submission interface and to provide an application update. The second session, Contractual Compliance - Audit Strategy [PDF, 1.03 MB] informed the community on the audit approach, the three-year audit plan, and the audit details and timelines.
Transfer Policy Outreach Webinar on 25 September 2012
As part of Contractual Compliance's on-going outreach effort, Pam Little (Senior Director, Contractual Compliance, Asia Pacific) conducted a webinar in Mandarin on the current Inter-Registrar Transfer Policy and Contractual Compliance process [PDF, 787 KB] for registrars in China on 25 September 2012 (Beijing time). The webinar was intended to promote better awareness and improve registrar compliance. It was well attended and well received by over 40 representatives from 27 registrars. Currently, there are 33 ICANN-accredited registrars in China.
Audit Program Information Session for Registrars and Registries – September 2012
Jacks Khawaja (Manager-Risk and Audit) held three sessions about the "future" Audit Program [PDF, 332 KB] to allow focused discussion as well as interactions with all interested members of the ICANN Registrar and Registry community. In an effort to increase transparency, collaboration and knowledge, he presented the audit program, overall approach, audit scope and provisions, and the plan.
ICANN's 44th International Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic 24 – 29 June 2012
Maguy Serad, Stacy Burnette, Carlos Alvarez and Owen Smigelski attended ICANN's 44th International Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic 24 - 29 June 2012 – The Compliance team made presentations on ICANN's Contractual Compliance Program at a Newcomers session as well as to the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) and the Registrar Stakeholder Group. In an effort to increase transparency, accountability, collaboration and knowledge, the Contractual Compliance team hosted two additional sessions to allow focused discussions as well as open interactions with all interested members of the ICANN community. The two sessions were Contractual Compliance Registrar Focus Session [PDF, 2.80 MB] and the Contractual Compliance Registry Focus Session [PDF, 1.69 MB]. The Contractual Compliance team also met with members from the Law Enforcement Community.

Maguy Serad, Pam Little, Jack Khawaja and Jonathan Denison attended ICANN's 43rd International Meeting in San Jose, Costa Rica 12-16 March 2012 - The Compliance team made presentations on ICANN's Contractual Compliance Program and update to the Newcomers Track, the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC), Commercial Stakeholder Group (CSG), Registry Stakeholder Group, Registrar Stakeholder Group, Law Enforcement Community and the Latin America and Caribbean Islands Regional At-Large Organization (LACRALO). Additionally, the Compliance team held two interactive sessions (one with registrar focus and the other with registry focus) with community members on Wednesday, 14 March 2012.
