About Sunrise Processes & Procedures
Sunrise services allow trademark holders an advance opportunity to register domain names corresponding to their marks before names are generally available to the public.
Registry Operators subject to the Trademark Clearinghouse – Rights Protection Mechanism Requirements are required to offer a Sunrise period of at least 30 days.
A report may be submitted to ICANN Contractual Compliance but only to claim that, after the reporter properly went through the Registry Operator's published Sunrise Dispute Resolution Policy (SDRP), either (1) the Registry Operator did not follow its SDRP; or (2) one or more provisions of the TLD's Sunrise policies are in non-compliance with the requirements of the Trademark Clearinghouse – Rights Protection Mechanism Requirements.
The processes described above do not apply to any ccTLD (such as .us, .de, .uk, etc.).
To file a report, please submit a Sunrise Processes & Procedures Report Form.
