Fees for Transfers of Sponsorship of Registered Item Registrations Where the sponsorship of a Registered Item is transferred from one ICANN-Accredited Registrar to another ICANN-Accredited Registrar, Registry Operator will require the registrar receiving the sponsorship to request (a) a renewal of one year, in the case of Registered Name and SLD E-mail address registrations or (b) an extension of one year, in the case of Defensive Registrations and NameWatch registrations. In connection with such renewal or extension, Registry Operator will charge a fee for the requested renewal or extension (a "Renewal Fee"), as such fees are set forth in this Appendix. For extensions of Defensive Registration, the extension fee shall be one tenth of the then-applicable Defensive Registration Fee. The transfer shall result in an extension according to the renewal request, subject to a ten-year maximum on the future term of any Registered Item registration. The Renewal Fee and any applicable taxes shall be paid in full at the time of the transfer by the ICANN-Accredited Registrar receiving sponsorship of the Registered Item.
