ICANN Launches New Root Server System Advisory Committee Pages

9 July 2024

As part of our continuing effort to leverage the Information Transparency Platform (ITP), I am pleased to announce the launch of the new Root Server System Advisory Committee (RSSAC) pages on icann.org.

As with the previous addition of the Security and Stability Advisory Committee pages, the new RSSAC pages strike true to the overall mission of the ITP: improving ICANN's content governance and infrastructure, while providing a more streamlined and intuitive experience for users.

Feature Improvements

These new RSSAC pages offer many enhanced features, including:

  • An improved layout and user experience
  • An improved search capability for RSSAC and RSSAC Caucus Meeting Minutes, RSSAC Publications, and RSSAC and RSSAC Caucus Members
  • An improved keyword search for documents and files
  • The ability for users to download search results as a comma-separated values (CSV) file
  • Allowing users to subscribe for email alerts when RSSAC content is posted or updated

Please note: subscribers must have an ICANN account.

Next Steps

All Supporting Organization and Advisory Committee web pages and content will be migrated to the ITP. Next to launch will be the Country Code Names Supporting Organization. Future launches will be announced as the work is completed.

What is the ITP?

The ITP is a continuation of the Information Transparency Initiative (ITI). ITI began as an operational activity to improve ICANN's content governance and infrastructure, and later evolved into the robust Information Transparency Platform.

We are committed to increasing the transparency and accessibility of all ICANN content and look forward to providing you with future updates on our progress.
