The First Middle East DNS Forum will take place next week, 3-4 February 2014 in Dubai, UAE. The meeting is hosted by the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the UAE, and is co-organized by ICANN and ISOC. The Forum is designed to become a platform for the Middle East community to further advance the domain name industry in the region. As explained in an earlier post, the meeting will cover topics such as New gTLDs, Registry strategies for domain name growth, Role of ccTLDs in strengthening the domain name industry at national and international level, Registrar accreditation in a borderless environment, and Registrar strategies in a competitive environment. In addition, the program will include breakout sessions on three main DNS tracks: ‘Business’, ‘Policy’ and ‘Technical’. The detailed agenda together with the final list of speakers, and all information about the meeting can be found at: http://mednsf.org/en.
