The Address Supporting Organization (ASO) Address Council has completed its analysis and summary of the responses received to the questionnaire on the proposed principles to update Internet Coordination Policy 2 (ICP-2). Coordinated by the Number Resource Organization (NRO) for the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) communities, the questionnaire was open from 8 October to 6 December 2024 in parallel with an ICANN Public Comment proceeding. During this window, the NRO questionnaire received 298 submissions from the RIR communities.
The summary and the raw data are available for review. The summary provides an overview of the feedback received to support the drafting of the next version of ICP-2 and to inform the RIR communities. The raw data provides important insights that will be valuable for the future implementation of the next version of ICP-2. For each proposed principle, respondents could express their level of agreement through a five-point opinion scale (strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, or strongly disagree). Additionally, they could share comments for each principle and at the end of the NRO questionnaire.
The summary does not include the ASO Address Council's opinions or responses to the raw data, nor does it include an evaluation of feedback on the proposed principles. The ASO Address Council will consider the results from the NRO questionnaire and the input received through ICANN Public Comment while developing the draft of the next version of ICP-2.
