LOS ANGELES - 26 October 2016 - ICANN has published updated resources for Pre-Delegation Testing (PDT). The updated resources include test cases and test plans incorporating the Consistent Labeling and Display (CL&D) requirements described in the Registry Registration Data Directory Services Consistent Labeling and Display Policy (https://www.icann.org/rdds-labeling-display).
To facilitate the registries implementation, prior to the effective date specified in the policy, the PDT system will provide a warning to those registry operators whose system does not yet meet the new requirements, this warning will not prevent a TLD from passing the test.
Additionally, registries may utilize the WHOIS Self – Test tool, to check their system configurations for conformance to the new requirements. The tool is available here: https://github.com/dotse/Whois-Selftest-Tool.
