I would like to express our support for the publication and advancement of the Javanese Script and Arabic Script Reference LGR supporting the use of Pegon proposals.

As an observer with an interest in Internationalized Domain Names, local scripts, and the development of a more multilingual Internet, I welcome the continued progress of these proposals. The development of Label Generation Rules for local scripts is an important step toward supporting linguistic diversity, cultural representation, and broader community participation in the Domain Name System.

The Javanese and Pegon scripts are part of Indonesia’s rich linguistic and cultural heritage. Their appropriate consideration within the IDN framework reflects meaningful progress in ensuring that local communities and writing systems can be represented in a technically responsible and globally coordinated manner.

I appreciate the efforts of the relevant script communities, experts, and ICANN teams involved in the preparation and review of these proposals. I support the continued development of technically sound, community-informed, and inclusive approaches to Internationalized Domain Names.
