Application Period Open for ICANN67 Community Childcare Grants Pilot Program
LOS ANGELES – 25 September 2019 – The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has begun accepting applications for its Community Childcare Grants Pilot Program for ICANN67 in Cancún, Mexico. The program aims to facilitate, during ICANN meetings, the in-person participation of community members with children.
Grants up to USD 750.00 per family are available for ICANN Public Meeting participants who are bringing children and will incur expenses associated with babysitting and/or local childcare services. There will be no on-site meeting/conference-sponsored childcare services during ICANN67.
The deadline to apply for the grant is Wednesday, 20 November 2019 at 23:59 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The application can be found here. For more information, please visit the program's page here.
ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a not-for-profit public-benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
