Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.

On a more personal note I want my domain name -- benoitmelancon.quebec -- to be the same as my social identity: beno_î_t melan_ç_on dot qu_é_bec. This use of latin script diacritics has been proposed for a long time: it is time to make it happen.
