On March 15, 2015 at 23:59 UTC, the 2015 Nominating Committee Application Period closed.

On behalf of the NomCom, I want to thank all who either applied or suggested candidates. We operate at the service of the community and absent quality candidates, cannot do an effective job. The NomCom will be publishing statistics on this year's Application Period in due course, but I can already divulge that we have had a very good response to our application process this year.

The NomCom will now batten down the hatches and begin the selection phase of its yearly cycle. This is a very intensive period of work for us that is scheduled to go on until just after the ICANN meeting in Buenos Aires.

In the meantime, applicants also have some work to do. As seasoned NomCom observers will know, we have worked very hard since 2013 to refine our processes and this includes the online systems we use for our application process. These are now much easier to use for applicants, but still require them to complete the form.

Applicants now have until March 30, 2015 at 18:00 UTC to do so. Beyond that deadline, all incomplete applications will be purged from the system.

Good luck to all applicants.
