ICANN Grant Program: Deadline for Applications Approaching

13 May 2024
By Shayna Robinson

On 25 March 2024, ICANN launched the call for the inaugural cycle of ICANN Grant Program applications. This first cycle will distribute up to $10 million total in grants to support projects consistent with ICANN's mission and in line with the objectives of the program. You can read more about the program, its objectives, and the application process on the ICANN Grant Program webpage.

We are now more than halfway through the 60-day application window and are delighted with the response so far. With less than a month left, I want to take this opportunity to remind those organizations wishing to apply to submit their applications via the online application platform before 20:00 UTC on 24 May 2024.

The ICANN Grant Program is an exciting new opportunity for organizations to make a difference in the Internet ecosystem and create positive change for people across the world. In this first cycle, organizations can seek grants between $50,000 and $500,000 for projects up to 24 months long. If your organization is interested and has not yet applied, I encourage you to review the program materials including the Applicant Guide for more on eligibility requirements, and how to apply here.

The only way to be considered for funding is to make sure your online application is submitted by the deadline. We encourage applicants to give themselves plenty of time to apply by getting started as soon as possible with their application.

Good luck to all those in the running!
