We are nearing the end of our 54th Public Meeting, taking place in Dublin, Ireland, and I'm already looking forward to welcoming you in Marrakech, the third largest city in the northwestern African nation of Morocco, for ICANN's 55th Public Meeting, which will take place next March.

ICANN55 will be yet another opportunity for the global ICANN community to discuss the main issues facing the Internet's Domain Name System (DNS). Having a meeting in Africa will allow for increased participation from the local community, which is a key objective for us as we continue to implement our Africa engagement strategy, which was developed at ICANN47 in Durban. Now, nearly three years later, ICANN is coming back to the African continent. I hope we can come together to build on the great momentum and progress we have made thus far.

For those of you that will be traveling to Marrakech, please stay tuned for more information regarding visas. To register for ICANN55, please click here.

So let the countdown to ICANN55 begin! We will all we meet again soon, in the hustle and bustle of a vibrant medieval city: Marrakech.
