ICANN Seeks Input on Draft Registry Service Provider Handbook – New gTLD Program: Next Round

13 March 2024

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is seeking feedback on the draft Registry Service Provider (RSP) Handbook. The draft RSP Handbook describes the RSP Evaluation Program, which is a part of ICANN's New Generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) Program: Next Round. The program is intended to reduce the cost and time required to evaluate new gTLD applications by separating the evaluation of the technical aspects of operating a gTLD from the application for the gTLD label.

The Public Comment period will be open for 40 days. For more information and to participate in this proceeding, please visit this webpage.

Submissions Opening Date: Wednesday 13 March 2024

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
