ICANN Request for Quotation: Storage Network Replacement 2023

25 January 2023

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) organization issued a request for quotation (RFQ) to identify one or more providers to facilitate the sourcing and pre-configuration of predetermined storage area network equipment for our data centers.

The storage area network equipment currently in use by ICANN is approaching end of life and needs to be replaced. The equipment is intended to replace and improve performance of the storage provided by the ICANN IT Infrastructure department. There should be no changes in architecture to what is being used currently.

For a complete overview of this RFQ, including the timeline, please click here.

Indications of interest should be emailed to Storage-Network-RFQ@icann.org and provide the following information:

  • Company name
  • Contact person name
  • Contact person e-mail address

Quotations should be electronically submitted using ICANN's sourcing tool by 2 PM PST / 10 PM UTC on 9 February 2023 at the latest. Access to this tool may be requested via the same email.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
