Thank you for the opportunity to review the proposed dates for 2029–2033. While planning appreciate the advanced planning, I would like to raise concerns regarding potential conflicts with major cultural and religious observances that may impact global participation

06 December 2025

Submission Summary:

The gTLD Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) appreciates the opportunity to provide feedback to ICANN on the ICANN public meeting proposed dates for 2029-2033.  The RySG does not have concerns with the proposed dates, but encourages ICANN to avoid scheduling public meetings during the transitions between daylight savings time and standard time.  Because these dates often vary by region, or even country, the RySG encourages ICANN to c...

ICANN Public Meeting Proposed Dates for 2029–2033 Submission - Registrar Stakeholder Group (“RrSG”)
01 December 2025

Submission Summary:

The RrSG thanks the ICANN staff team for their work in avoiding overlaps with religious holidays. While it is helpful to have the meeting date information available at least five years in advance, the RrSG notes that knowing the meeting location is just as important, as it allows attendees to book travel and accommodations well in advance while prices are lower.

Submission Summary:

I appreciate ICANN’s continued effort to plan public meeting dates well in advance, maintaining transparency and alignment with the community’s operational calendars. Early publication of proposed dates for 2029–2033 demonstrates commitment to predictability and inclusivity.

However, after reviewing the proposed dates and cross-referencing them with major global, regional, and religious observances, several important con...

ICANN Public Meeting Proposed Dates for 2029–2033 Submission - Soomro, Faheem
30 October 2025

Submission Summary:

I would suggest following points to consider:

1. Check for movable religious observances (Ramadan, Easter) and national holidays in likely host countries for each proposed year and commit to adjusting dates when conflicts are found.

2. Add a minimum two-week buffer between the AGM and adjacent IETF/RIPE events to reduce attendee travel burden/conflict and improve cross-community participation (There may be people inter...
