The Root Server System Advisory Committee (RSSAC) appreciates this opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed dates for ICANN public meetings from 2029 - 2033.
Many RSSAC members and RSSAC Caucus members also attend Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) meetings To the extent possible, the RSSAC prefers ICANN meetings not be scheduled in the week immediately before or after IETF meetings (i.e., back-to-back).
When ICANN and IETF meetings are scheduled back-to-back, RSSAC and RSSAC Caucus members struggle to attend both completely. If ICANN meetings must be scheduled back-to-back with IETF meetings the RSSAC prefers that these meetings be located on the same continent or otherwise close to one another.
