Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.

Draft Proposed Changes to Registrar Accreditation Agreement

Explanation: In an effort to address concerns raised about the Protection of Registrants, ICANN has undertaken considerable discussions with community members concerning potential amendments to the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA). The ICANN Board of Directors passed a resolution in San Juan directing staff to solicit community input related to RAA amendments, engage in a dialogue with registrars to arrive at a set of proposed RAA amendments to be posted for public comment. This public comment period is the second of two that act as the place to provide written input and feedback into the consultation (oral input will be possible at ICANN and other meetings). A summary and analysis of this comment period will be provided to the Board in order to assist it in its review.
