The Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG) welcomes the opportunity to comment on the Final Report from the EPDP on Specific Curative Rights Protections for IGOs.

The RySG appreciates that this process has been complicated and involved quite a bit of coordination across ICANN Community groups. We appreciate the efforts of all involved and hope that with the approval of these recommendations, IGOs will be able to take advantage of second level domain name registrations and registries will have the required information to operationalize requests for registration. In addition, the RySG believes that through this work the GAC’s Advice has been addressed and the community can move forward with the registration of IGO acronyms.

The RySG notes that this has been a long process and encourages the Board to approve and implement these recommendations and work of the  IGO-INGO Final Report as efficiently as possible.
