Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.

Draft Proposal for the Study of Issues Related to the Delegation of IDN Variant TLDs

Explanation/Background: The delegation and management of Variant TLDs remains an important issue. The ICANN community seeks to develop solutions to enable the delegation of Variant TLDs for the benefit of users in different regions. ICANN is publishing for public comment a Draft Proposal for an IDN Variant Issues Project [PDF, 393 KB] – a proposal for moving this work forward. We invite community comments concerning any/all elements of this proposal.
