On 9 January 2014, ICANN and GMO Internet, Inc. entered into a Registry Agreement under which GMO Internet, Inc. operated the .gmo top-level domain. Effective 29 August 2014, the Registry Agreement was assigned by GMO Internet, Inc. to GMO Internet PTE. LTD., which operated the .gmo top-level domain. Effective 01 October 2015, the Registry Agreement was assigned by GMO Internet PTE. LTD to GMO Internet, Inc. which now operates the .gmo top-level domain.
