WEBINAR: WHOIS Accuracy Reporting System June 2017 Report

LOS ANGELES – 6 July 2017 – The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) today announced that ICANN will host an interactive webinar on 20 July 2017 to review findings of the "WHOIS Accuracy Reporting System June 2017" report published 12 June 2017.

Participants will learn about:

  • The methodology used in the WHOIS report.
  • Regional differences in WHOIS accuracy.
  • Trends across reports.
  • A new interactive data display tool for community users.
  • Contractual Compliance updates.
  • Next steps following the report.

This latest report acts as a follow-on to the "WHOIS ARS Phase 2 Cycle 3 Report: Syntax and Operability Accuracy," published in December 2016. The report includes comparisons based on Registrar Accreditation Agreements (2009 RAA v. 2013 RAA) and top-level domain types (e.g., new or "legacy" gTLDs) across ICANN regions.
