Purpose:

Obtain input on the Post-Expiration Domain Name Recovery (PEDNR) Recommendations adopted by the GNSO Council prior to ICANN Board consideration.

Current Status: The PEDNR WG delivered its Final Report [PDF, 999 KB] to the GNSO Council on 14 June 2011. The GNSO Council adopted the Final Report and its recommendations at its meeting on 21 July 2011. As required by the ICANN Bylaws, public notice is hereby provided of the policies that are considered for adoption as well as an opportunity to comment on the adoption of the proposed policies, prior to consideration by the ICANN Board of these recommendations.
Next Steps: ICANN Staff will prepare a summary and analysis of the public comments received that will be submitted to the Board in conjunction with the PEDNR recommendations adopted by the GNSO Council.
