Identity Digital Inc. (“Identity Digital”) applauds ICANN’s timely action in publishing the ICANN Community Participant Code of Conduct Concerning Statements of Interest (the “Code of Conduct”). The Code of Conduct establishes clear, sensible rules governing participant disclosure of interests within the ICANN Community, and brings the ICANN Community in line with international norms regarding transparency in policy making activities. Identity Digital believes the Code of Conduct significantly enhances the legitimacy of the work done within the ICANN Community. To ensure the Code of Conduct is effective in achieving its goal of increasing transparency within the ICANN Community, Identity Digital encourages ICANN to conduct a review of the Code of Conduct after one year aimed at assessing and closing any gaps in Code of Conduct application and enforcement.
