Purpose:

This Interim Report [PDF, 1.63 MB] reflects the concensus position of the WG members on the issues and recommendations for interpreting current policy and guidelines pertaining to obtaining and documenting consent for delegation and redelegation of ccTLD’s. In the  Interim report specific recommendations are outlined based on a thorough  analysis of the issues involved, and all publicly avaialble documentation of delegation and redelgations of ccTLD’s cases involving consent.

Current Status: Seeking public comment on its Interim Report is part of the process for developing recommendations as defined in the charter of the FoiWG.
Next Steps:

The WG will closely review all submitted comments to determine at may at its reasonable discretion modify its report. According to its charter the WG is not obligated to include all comments made during the comment period, nor is it obligated to include all comments submitted by any one individual or organization.

The Working expects to formally publish its Final Report prior to the next ICANN meeting in san Jose, Costa Rica.
