Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.

SSAC Review Draft Terms of Reference

Explanation: As part of ICANN’s commitment to its ongoing improvement, the Board approved a comprehensive plan for independent review of ICANN’s structures, as well as of the Board itself. The reviews are intended to ensure an independent examination of the role and operation of key elements of ICANN.

As part of this process, the draft Terms of Reference for the Review of the Security and Stability Advisory Committee are being posted for public comment.

Comments will close on 5 September 2008.

Revised Terms of Reference will be prepared based on the comments received.The revised Terms of Reference will form the basis for a Request for Proposal for an independent reviewer to undertake the review. It is anticipated that the review will commence later this year.
