Public Comment

Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.

Travel Support Guidelines for Community Members

Open: 3 June 09
Closed: 6 July 09

Explanation: ICANN community participants dedicate substantial time and resources to advance ICANN’s work, and it is reasonable for ICANN to use travel funding to facilitate participation. In order to ensure that the resources are prioritized and administered appropriately, the Travel Support Guidelines have been updated for FY10, as reflected in this Community Travel Support Guidelines for public comment paper [PDF, 209 KB]. The community is encouraged to provide feedback on the travel support guidelines on an online public forum, feedback via conference calls with community groups, and/or at the workshop to be held in Sydney http://syd.icann.org/node/4035.
