Public Participation Committee Webinar Information

Open: 4 October 2010
Closed: 3 November 2010

Explanation/Background: The ICANN Participation and Engagement Staff, in conjunction with the work of the Board Public Participation Committee (PPC), provided two webinar briefing sessions on Monday 27 September at 15.00 and 24.00 UTC. Attendees heard about the key focus points regarding ICANN meeting elements that were derived from the recently closed Meetings of the Next Decade Survey, as well as from the ICANN Meeting Team's Post-Brussels survey. At the end of the webinar, attendees were asked to complete a short questionnaire regarding the presentation and provide their thoughts on priority work going forward to create more productive meeting environments in regard to structure and content.

If you are not able to participate in either of the two live sessions, we would like to encourage you to go through the slides and the MP3 file at http://www.icann.org/en/learning/webinars.htm, and to provide your feedback at ppc-webinar-meetings@icann.org and/or through the provided post-webinar survey link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LWS3V2N.

The PPC will use this and other information gathered from the community to host a public consultation in Cartagena, in order to discuss and finalize their recommendations to the full Board for further improvements to the ICANN Meetings.
