Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.
The RrSG supports the three topics identified in the Issue Report moving forward each as a separate PDP with its own Charter, and the work proceeding sequentially. Working Group representation should either be balanced and equitable across groups or follow the open membership model. The RrSG supports the consideration in the Report of a balance between preventative measures towards security and the need for an open and accessible domain marketplace.
