ICANN Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee (NomCom) is an independent committee that selects key ICANN and PTI leadership roles, including Board positions and community council members. The NomCom acts in the interest of the global Internet community and within ICANN’s mission and Bylaws.

Job Descriptions and Open Leadership Positions 2026

Candidates for all the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) leadership positions should be individuals with a high level of qualifications and experience with an international outlook, including some familiarity with the Internet.

ICANN's Nominating Committee (NomCom) selects candidates to fill various leadership positions who will make valuable public service contributions toward ensuring the stable and secure operation of the Internet's unique identifier systems. Those candidates will work with accomplished colleagues from around the globe; address the Internet's intriguing technical coordination issues and related policy development matters within diverse functional, cultural, and geographic dimensions; and gain valuable insights and experience from working across boundaries of knowledge, responsibility, and perspective.

The NomCom invites candidates to apply for the following positions:

  • Two members of the ICANN Board of Directors
  • One member of the PTI Board of Directors
  • Two regional representatives to the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) – one each from the Europe region and the North America region
  • One member of the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) Council
  • One member of the Generic Names Supporting Organization (GNSO) Council
