The Brazilian Internet Forum (FIB) and Brazilian Pre-IGF, annually organized by the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br) since 2011, serves as a preparatory activity for the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), a global event promoted by the United Nations (UN). Through the FIB, CGI.br seeks to encourage representatives from its stakeholder groups to follow, contribute to, and debate the most relevant issues related to the consolidation and expansion of an increasingly diverse, universal, and innovative Internet in Brazil, one that reflects the principles of freedom, human rights, and privacy, in accordance with the Decalogue of Principles for Internet Governance and Use.
