ICANN71 will be held from 14-17 June 2021 as a Virtual Public Meeting due to the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Because the ICANN71 Policy Forum was scheduled to be held in The Hague, Netherlands, the Virtual Policy Forum will be held in the European time zone. We are grateful to our European stakeholders for their patience and flexibility during this difficult time. We look forward to returning to the region as soon as we can.

Registration for ICANN71 is now open. You can register today here. The community will continue to advance policy development and advice through targeted work sessions and cross-community discussions. One ICANN71 highlight will be the presentation of ICANN's Community Excellence Award for 2021. This award recognizes community members who are invested in consensus-based solutions and contribute substantively to the ICANN multistakeholder model. Do you have a nominee in mind? The closing date for submissions is 29 March 2021 23:59 UTC. More information can be found here.

Europe's digital landscape is poised for transformation and is at the forefront of issues including regulation, infrastructure investment, e-services, networking solutions, and support for innovation. Our European stakeholders involved in both the operational and policymaking work of ICANN are dedicated and active.

We have a number of virtual engagement events happening in Europe before ICANN71. Register here for an ICANN70 Readout cohosted with our German community. We will also participate in two readouts hosted by the European Regional At-Large Organization (EURALO). These events give us a chance to discuss key topics surfaced at ICANN70. Please check the ICANN Engagement Calendar for more events in Europe and in your region.

I look forward to seeing you online!
