The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) today released a pilot version of its Internationalized Domain Name (IDN) Table Review Tool. This new online tool gives generic top-level domain (gTLD) registry operators (ROs) and registry service providers (RSPs) the ability to check IDN tables they have designed before submitting them for review by ICANN organization (org). The tool compares IDN tables with Second-Level Reference Label Generation Rules published by ICANN org, and aims to improve consistency and transparency of the IDN table review process.

The review tool is currently in the pilot phase and users are encouraged to provide feedback that will be used to help improve its next iteration. Feedback and user questions can be directed to ICANN Global Support at firstname.lastname@example.org.
