Get Involved in Shaping ICANN’s Next Strategic Plan

27 May 2024

The ICANN Board of Directors is in the process of developing the ICANN Strategic Plan for fiscal years (FY) 2026–2030, and input from the community is a key part of this important undertaking.

To that end, the Board is eager to engage with the community on the draft of the strategies developed for the next five years. The strategies form the backbone of the Strategic Plan and lay the groundwork for achieving ICANN's vision for 2030.

The Board invites the community to participate in two ICANN80 sessions, one during the online-only Prep Week and one at the hybrid Policy Forum.

Board-Led Community Engagement on the Draft FY26–30 ICANN Strategic Plan
Thursday, 13 June 2024, 13:30–15:00 UTC

The Prep Week session will provide an overview of the ICANN strategic planning process, the progress so far, and the next steps. In addition, the Board Strategic Planning Committee will present the draft of the strategies developed for the FY26–30 ICANN Strategic Plan.

During the interactive community engagement session at ICANN80, participants will have the opportunity to ask questions, share insights, and offer suggestions to refine and enhance these draft strategies. This session is a great opportunity to discuss and provide feedback on the draft of these strategies before the draft Strategic Plan is published for Public Comment in July.

Input from the community is crucial to charting ICANN's course for the next five years. Don't miss this chance to be part of the conversation and to help shape the future of ICANN.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
