The LD PDP addresses a concrete policy gap with a targeted scope, a clear set of objective criteria, and safeguards that are aligned with DNS security, stability, and end-user trust.

As the DNS continues to support multilingual and serving culturally accurate domain usage, a mechanism like the «same entity principle» enables a single registry operator to manage both the ASCII and diacritic versions. Overall, the proposed mechanism is appropriately limited in scope. 

One of the significant result of this PDP will be to respect the existing needs of communities that need to use diacritics on a daily basis.
