Tucows appreciates the opportunity to comment on the Functional Model for Root Server System Governance. The model offers sound governance principles, and a structure to provide governance for the root server system and to effectively engage the broader community of stakeholders. Tucows notes that the relationship with the ICANN and IANA structures should be further considered.
