I support the development and publication of the additional Reference Label Generation Rules (LGRs) and related updates for Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs). These efforts are important for strengthening a more inclusive, multilingual, and globally accessible Internet.
From my perspective as a cybersecurity and Internet governance practitioner from Malawi, expanding support for diverse scripts and languages helps underserved and underrepresented communities participate more meaningfully in the digital ecosystem. IDNs can improve accessibility, digital identity, and local participation online, especially for communities whose languages and scripts are often less represented on the Internet.
I appreciate the collaborative work of ICANN org, Generation Panels, and language experts in balancing technical stability, security, and linguistic diversity. I support continued community-driven efforts that advance Universal Acceptance and strengthen trust in a globally inclusive Internet.
