The Finnish Information Security Cluster (FISC), in cooperation with ICANN, is organizing a hands-on training focused on Domain Name System (DNS) risks and the DNS Security Extension (DNSSEC).
During the training participants will learn:
how to implement DNSSEC,
how to sign zones and manage cryptographic keys,
how to establish and verify a chain of trust,
how to use validation and troubleshooting tools.
The seminar will combine theory with hands-on experience, including:
DNS/DNSSEC debugging,
zone creation and configuration (primary and secondary zones),
manual and automatic zone signing,
chain of trust establishment and verification,
DNSSEC validation with recursive resolvers.

Participant requirements: Basic knowledge of the DNS and networking is required; Linux/UNIX experience is recommended. Please bring a laptop with WiFi access.
The training will be held in English and in person only!
