ICANN Announces New Staff Appointments

Web Content Developer

Marc Salvatierra has been appointed as Web Content Developer. The responsibilities of this role are to implement and design interactive web platforms; participate in the development of ICANN's web site and in the design of ICANN committee and support organization web sites. Marc comes to us from the Los Angeles based law firm O'Melveny and Myers where he was the web site content specialist. Prior to that he was variously, Web Editor at KCAL TV News, and Web Producer at LAInsider and eToys. He has also worked at Sony On-Line. He holds Masters of Arts from King's College London and University of Southern California as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University.

Technical Writer

Sara Stohl has been appointed as Technical Writer. The Technical Writer is responsible for the writing of technical papers, brochures and manuals. The role will also be responsible for the preparation of speeches and other presentations as required. Sara is a senior documentation specialist with more than 28 years of experience in the preparation of corporate communications for print, on-line and interactive media including policies, procedures, manuals and reports. She has for many years run her own consulting firm, Sara Stohl and Associates during which time her clients have included, Parsons Corporation, one of the world's largest engineering and construction organisations, Wellpoint Healthcare Systems, Entech Consulting and Physical Optics Corporation. She has also worked as a Technical Communications Consultant for Hughes Radar Systems Group. She started her career in the aerospace industry. She runs courses in Technical writing and has been a member of the Advisory Board for UCLA's Online Technical communication program. Sara studied at Utah State University as well as UCLA and has a Certificate of Management Excellence from University of Southern California.
