Other Comments

The WIDE Project, one of the root server operators, appreciates the opportunity to provide comments on the document proposed by the RSS GWG. We fully support the principles and structure outlined in the document, as well as the proposed phased approach for establishing the governance framework.

We would like to put particular emphasis on our perspective regarding the operational data, which will be collected and used for the governance based on the principles as described in Section 3.50 of GP (Governance Principles) document.

In light of:

1) the growing interest in the safe and secure use of sensitive data, and

2) the increasing importance of policy and governance-level understanding of core Internet infrastructure operations,

data collected in the operation of root servers should be primarily used for analysis and research aimed at ensuring the healthy and stable operation of the RSS, thereby contributing to the robustness of the global Internet infrastructure.

The WIDE Project is committed to supporting and contributing to the secure and progressive evolution of RSS governance based on the foundations laid out in this proposed document.
