ICANN Launches Subscription-Based Policy Update

11 June 2008

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) today announced the launch of a new subscription-based ICANN Policy Update that will highlight on a monthly basis key Internet policy issues being addressed by its bottom-up, consensus-based policy development structure.

The Policy Update is designed to accommodate newcomers to ICANN, as well as its issues veterans by providing high-level explanations of a broad range of ICANN policy development activities, detailed updates on specific issues, and links to more information. Whether a newcomer or veteran, the Policy Update will increase subscriber access to ICANN policy development information, while also seeking to better inform the community and increase participation.

The ICANN Policy Update is free of charge to subscribers. To subscribe, simply visit the ICANN subscription page at http://www.icann.org/newsletter/, and select Policy Update.

Questions or comments regarding the Policy Update are welcomed at policyupdate@icann.org.
