ICANN's 28th International Public Meeting will be held 26-30 March in Lisbon, Portugal. The meetings are free to attend, and open to any interested person. ICANN encourages broad participation in its bottom-up consensus-development process. You can take part in these meetings by attending in person, by taking part in the webcast and remote participation opportunities, and/or by joining one of the various ICANN-related mailing lists.

TRAVEL AND VISA INFORMATION

Information relating to visas can be obtained from the local host's website. A letter of invitation to attend the meeting and enter Portugal may be required by citizens of some countries. An invitation letter can be obtained by writing to admin@icann-lisboa.pt.

Information Regarding Operational Planning in Lisbon:

At the Lisbon meeting, ICANN is beginning the consultation process for the July 2007 - June 2008 operating plan. As part of its commitment to the internationalisation of its processes, ICANN will be running sessions to seek input to the planning process French, Arabic and Spanish in addition to the public forum session in English (with Portuguese translation). ICANN is very keen to receive input from all members of the community and we encourage your participation in these sessions. Times for the sessions are:

• French Tuesday 27th 14.30 - 15.30 (Ametista)
• Arabic Wednesday 28th 16.30 - 17.30 (Safira)
• Spanish Wednesday 28th 15.30 - 16.30 (Safira)

INTERNET ACCESS

There will be an Internet Lounge. Wireless Internet connectivity (802.11b) will also be available in the main meeting, public areas and in the participant’s rooms (only those in the hotel where the conference will be held).
