The following is a summary of discussions, actions taken and actions identified:
- Discussed further revisions to the committee charter. Action: Staff to further revise and send to committee. Upon approval, the charter will be forwarded to the BGC and the Board for review.
- Discussed the definition of Public Participation, both as a broad overall statement, as well as more detailed implementation concepts of the definition presented by committee members and supporting staff. Action: Committee members to circulate via email their thoughts on the various suggestions.
- Discussed specific aspects of Mexico City meeting agenda and format, including the overall schedule, options for the various types of meetings being held in Mexico, the idea that the schedule should be fixed beforehand and not change while in Mexico, and the format and options for public comment sessions both during general public forum, as well as during different meetings such as thee SO/AC joint session.
- Discussed issuing a committee recommendation for a date certain before the Mexico City meeting on which all meeting materials and translations should be published. Action: Staff to prepare language for such a recommendation and distribute to committee for review.
