Update on University outreach
Last Thursday, 4 October, I gave a presentation on ICANN at Loyola Law School as part of Loyola’s International IP Week in Los Angeles. The event was well attended and the students were very engaged. This was the third in a series of university outreach events leading up to the ICANN meeting in Los Angeles.
The students had a number of questions about IDNs, new gTLDs, IP address blocks, domain name disputes and ICANN’s role in the coordinating of the Internet. Thanks go to Jay Dougherty for organizing the event at Loyola and delivering a full room of interested students. I enjoyed the event and look forward to additional outreach events with universities in the future.
