The Contracted Parties House (CPH)  appreciates the opportunity to comment on the Proposed Amendments to the Base gTLD Registry Agreement (RA) and Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) to add Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP) Contract Obligations.  The CPH recognizes and appreciates the investment of time and resources by all parties to reach a successful conclusion to these negotiations.

The proposed amendments specify operational requirements that allow registry and registrar operators to securely and responsibly provide Registration Data Directory Services (RDDS) via Registration Data Access Protocol (RDAP), and to phase out certain obligations to provide RDDS via the WHOIS protocols. The CPH believes that the proposed amendments are appropriate and meet the needs of operators and the community.

The CPH supports the amendments to the Registry Agreement and Registrar Accreditation Agreement.
