Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.
The Network Information Center .ukgbni.com ( NIC UKGBNI) of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UKGBNI), hereby submits its opinion to the ICANN community:
On ICANN's Community Question:
We propose regarding the "Proposed Procedure for Selecting a Top-Level Domain String for Private Use"
in order to avoid possible collisions of top-level and second-level domain names, we advise ICANN to select the string ".home".
The ".home" string, if reserved, will be the most appropriate to follow the recommendation contained in SAC113.
