Public Comment is a vital part of our multistakeholder model. It provides a mechanism for stakeholders to have their opinions and recommendations formally and publicly documented. It is an opportunity for the ICANN community to effect change and improve policies and operations.
The Network Information Center .ukgbni.com (NIC UKGBNI) of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UKGBNI), hereby submits its opinion to the ICANN community:
Regarding the effectiveness of the Customer Standing Committee (CSC), it is necessary to review several aspects so that the committee has more power and autonomy.
Currently, the CSC does not seem to be of great importance to ICANN, as a number of consumer rights have been violated by abusive practices by ICANN, Registries and registrars.
Consumers around the world had their rights violated, without ICANN being concerned about them.
Registrars like Godaddy are abusers and are fully defended by ICANN, which has no commitment to consumers.
Best Regards,
NIC UKGBNI
