Implementation of Registrar Data Escrow Program
9 November 2007 | ICANN has concluded negotiations and entered into an agreement with Iron Mountain Intellectual Property Management, Inc. to provide escrow services under ICANN's Registrar Data Escrow (RDE) program. ICANN selected Iron Mountain through a competitive Request for Proposals process concluded earlier this year.
ICANN and NRO Reach Agreement on Formalization of Relationships
9 November 2007 | ICANN is opening a public comment period on the formalization of its relationship with the Number Resource Organisation (NRO) and the Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) through an exchange of letters.
Public Comments Requested on Bylaw Change Proposed by the At-Large Advisory Committee
7 November 2007 | The Board of Directors resolved on 2nd November 2007 to request public comments on a change to the Bylaws of ICANN requested by the At-Large Advisory Committee, related to the administration of applications from organizations that wish to join the At-Large community of Internet end-users participating in ICANN.
2008 ICANN Nominating Committee Convenes in Los Angeles
7 November 2007 | The 2008 ICANN Nominating Committee (Nom Com) has been convened and met for the first time on 2-3 November, immediately following the 30th International ICANN Public Meeting in Los Angeles, California.

Change Of Leadership At ICANN As Cerf Makes Way For IP Expert (Intellectual Property Watch)
4 November 2007 | Intellectual property and computer law barrister Peter Dengate Thrush has been elected as new Chairman of the Board of ICANN. The former chairman of InternetNZ, the country-code top-level domain (ccTLD) registry for New Zealand (.nz), and cofounder of the Association of Asian Pacific ccTLDs, succeeds the legendary Vinton Cerf.

NZer appointed 'Chairman of cyberspace' (New Zealand Herald)
3 November 2007 | Wellington-based internet law expert Peter Dengate Thrush has been appointed chairman of the board of ICANN, the US-based organisation that globally co-ordinates internet address identifiers. He replaces Vint Cerf, as "chairman of cyberspace".
Internet Board Picks New Zealander Chair (AP)
2 November 2007 | A New Zealand lawyer long active on Internet addressing policies was elected Friday as the first non-American chairman of a key oversight agency, replacing Internet pioneer Vint Cerf.
ICANN Featured Individual: Komaki Takekoshi, Accountant
Komaki Takekoshi is an Accountant responsible for revenues and accounts receivable at ICANN. Her background is in Non-profit and Governmental Accounting, and she most recently worked for ExED, a Los Angeles based non-profit that provides accounting and finance services to charter schools.
Komaki holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Oregon. She is originally from Japan and is currently based in Los Angeles.
