It's time for our next ICANN meeting! ICANN 50 in London is taking place 22 – 26 June 2014. The meeting will be a great place for attendees to learn about the Global Domains Division, get an update on the evolution of the New gTLD Program, and discuss hot topics with staff.

Session topics include: What's New with the Global Domains Division; Name Collision; Universal Acceptance; the IDN Variant TLD Program; and many more. Information on these sessions and others can be found below. All session times are subject to change, visit the ICANN 50 meeting site for an updated schedule.

To better serve you, I am pleased to let you know that GDD will have an information booth at the London meeting. This is the first time we will have a single "gathering spot" to help attendees connect with appropriate GDD team members – we'll even be scheduling appointments to meet with GDD staff during ICANN 50. The GDD team is always happy to discuss any particular issues, suggestions or improvements you would like us to focus on so please stop by the booth to chat or setup a meeting.

We look forward to seeing you in London. Safe travels!

Based on practical operational experience, not all systems (e.g. browsers, spam filters, registration databases, user profiles, ISPs, etc.) work seamlessly when new TLDs are added. Users may experience failures in resolution or other issues with newer TLDs, which in turn impacts consumer trust on the DNS.
