Register for the FY24 IANA Functions and PTI Planning Webinar

25 July 2022

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), along with its affiliate Public Technical Identifiers (PTI), invite the community to join a public webinar to discuss planning for the fiscal year 2024 (FY24) Operating Plan and Budget for delivering the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions. This webinar will explain the planning process, the proposed IANA operational priorities for FY24, key assumptions, and timelines.

Please join one of the two scheduled webinars to learn more:

11 August 2022 at 16:00 UTC: Register here.

12 August at 00:00 UTC: Register here.

The annual Operating Plan and Budget for the IANA functions has two components. The first is a budget and operating plan for PTI, the ICANN affiliate that performs the IANA functions, which outlines the planned activities and resources to deliver the core IANA functions. The second component includes the PTI budget plus additional programs and costs that the ICANN organization incurs while overseeing and enabling the IANA functions.

Community questions and comments will be welcome. In addition to the webinars, the community has further opportunity to participate in this planning process. Input received during the webinars and other outreach will inform draft plans that will be submitted for Public Comment in September. The finalized operating plans and budgets will be considered for formal adoption in late 2022.

About ICANN

ICANN's mission is to help ensure a stable, secure, and unified global Internet. To reach another person on the Internet, you need to type an address – a name or a number – into your computer or other device. That address must be unique so computers know where to find each other. ICANN helps coordinate and support these unique identifiers across the world. ICANN was formed in 1998 as a nonprofit public benefit corporation with a community of participants from all over the world.
